A hotel choice is more useful when you can explain how the actual property, room and route fit your party. Start with named accommodation and written details, rather than relying on a star category or an attractive photograph.
Identify the exact accommodation
Record the property name, city, dates and room category. Check whether the hotel is confirmed or subject to substitution, and ask which written terms govern any change. A photograph of Makkah or Madinah is not evidence that a particular hotel or view is included. Keep the seller’s answer with the quotation so everyone in your party reviews the same arrangements.
Check the route, not just a distance
Ask what the stated distance measures and which entrance or destination it refers to. A straight-line map measurement is different from a usable walking route. Crossings, gradients, busy areas and lifts can affect the practical journey. If the route is important to an older relative or someone with an access requirement, request specific evidence instead of accepting an unqualified “nearby” description.
Understand shuttle arrangements
Where a shuttle is mentioned, ask where it collects and drops off, its operating hours, whether seats are guaranteed and how luggage or access needs are handled. Do not assume it runs whenever your party needs it. Identify a practical alternative if the service is unavailable, and ask whether any additional transport cost belongs to you or the provider.
Match rooms and meals to your party
Confirm occupancy, bed arrangements and the ages of children at travel where relevant to the quote. Ask whether a connecting-room request is confirmed. Record the board basis at each hotel rather than assuming the same meals throughout the itinerary. If a detail is essential, distinguish a confirmed service from a preference that has merely been passed to the hotel.
Compare the complete stay
Put check-in, check-out, arrival and departure times on one timeline. An early flight arrival does not automatically include early room access. A late departure may leave a period after checkout. Ask how each gap will be handled and include any necessary extra night in the full-party budget. Compare equivalent nights and rooms before judging a price difference.

Do not score an essential missing requirement as a minor inconvenience. Resolve it before deciding that the itinerary is suitable.
